There
will always be at least two teachers in the classroom. Maximum class size
is 12 students,
with a 6:1 student-adult ratio.
All teachers are NYS Certified and have their fingerprints on file in accordance with NYS law.
Audra Muscatiello
Owner/Head Teacher
Audra has earned a BS in elementary education and
a Masters in reading. She taught in the Averill Park
School District for five years. As a stay-at-home mom she
has been active in the local MOMS Club and volunteered as
a board member for two years.
She has also cared for children in her home and has had
experience managing multiple preschoolers at once. She now
has two children and enjoys combining her professional
experiences with the knowledge of preschoolers that she
has acquired from being a parent.
Kathy Durant
Teacher
Kathy has a Bachelor's degree in
math and education and a Master's degree in reading. She
has taught at the elementary level for 8 years in both private
and public schools. She became a stay at home mom to raise
her two daughters. In the past years she has been a member
of the local MOMS Club, a craft instructor at Halfmoon Senior
Center, and currently is a member of the children's liturgy
program at St. Joseph's Church. Kathy is enthusiastic about
bringing her love of learning and joy of working with children
to Open Door Preschool.
