Goals

To prepare your preschooler for kindergarten

Our curriculum is developed using the NYS core curruculum standards, and we will continue to communicate with local kindergarten teachers to ensure the 3 and 4 year old curriculums remain current.

To challenge your preschooler

The strengths and abilities of preschoolers vary greatly. Our curriculum introduces students to skills in language arts, math, science, social studies, and the arts that are age appropriate and individualized to challenge your child to the level he or she is ready to explore.

To communicate with parents

The classroom is an open door to parents who would like to observe or directly participate. You will also be kept up to date on our day to day work through regular verbal communication, our message board updated daily, and school newsletters.

To encourage creativity

Some of our activities may be messy, but they will always be fun and your child will create wonderful things!

To provide physical activity

We will get outside on days the weather is nice, and for the cold winter months we have use of the gym to schedule active play every day!

To work on social skills, decision making, and problem solving

During the course of the day we take advantage of the constant teachable moments that naturally build these core life skills.

To foster healthy snack habits

Our daily snack usually consists of fruits or vegetables.

To have fun

All these goals will be met through playful, hands on activities that will make the day fun for all of us!
